Accela Communications Releases AccelaCast Social Media Tools

Enables customers to integrate and track social media to encourage multi-channel engagement and referrals

SOUTHBOROUGH, MA – May 3, 2010 Accela Communications Inc., a leading provider of marketing technology and professional services, announced the release of AccelaCast® Social Media Tools. The new capability gives customers the option to integrate widgets from virtually any social media platform into their program, creating an environment that encourages conversation and interaction among viewers, across any channel. As social media continues to grow, the ability to reach more viewers globally has also increased through referrals and other user generated content. A study by Tubemogul recently reported that Twitter referrals to videos on every major category of destination resulted in longer viewing times than any other traffic source.1


AccelaCast customers can include widgets from Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Digg, Buzz, or any another social media platform into their program, with links that drive viewers to either the customer’s social media account, or the viewer’s own personal account. By including the widgets, it also let’s communities know that a company cares about providing valuable information to the members and participants of the community. All click-through activity for these resources is reported in the AccelaWorks online data collection and reporting system, providing further insight into the interests and behavioral activity of each viewer.
