Accela Communications' AccelaWorks v4.0 Brings New Level of Business Intelligence and Rapid Customized Reporting to Online Marketing Programs

SOUTHBOROUGH, MA – May 15, 2007 Accela Communications, the leading provider of on-demand rich media services and interactive marketing solutions, today announced the release of AccelaWorksTM version 4.0. The AccelaWorks web response management system provides extensive data collection, analytics and data management for online marketing activities and is used by a wide range of customers like Thermo Fischer Scientific, International Data Group, Questex Media and Summit Publishing to quickly build registration and data collection forms and manage all acquired data.

The 4.0 release contains dozens of new features to make online data collection and management faster and more intuitive for companies who not surprisingly report that the easier it is to access data from these types of activities, the more valuable that data becomes for their immediate and future business planning.  Many advanced data warehouse techniques were implemented to accommodate sophisticated data manipulations for reporting across massive amounts of data at lightning speed, stepping up the pace and accuracy of marketing optimization activities.

“The speed of the aggregate folder-level reporting is nothing short of astonishing. We can now quickly get a snapshot view of how multiple programs are performing, in the blink of an eye,” commented David Newcorn, VP of eMedia for Summit Publishing. “Additionally, the point-in-time reporting feature promises to shave hours of production time off of form creation for our advertiser programs, while at the same time ensuring data integrity across forms.”

Bill Rigby, Director of Online Account Services at Computerworld added, "The speed of AccelaWorks v4.0 reporting and intelligent form creation is a huge advancement. It enables us to dive deeper into our customer data and very quickly gives us a birds eye view of how people are responding to various offers and what their demographics are. This level of intelligence makes our web site even more important and effective as a means of identifying the customers and prospects that are most valuable to us."

AccelaWorks also provides registration and data management services for all AccelaCast inBanner and on-demand rich media programs with support for engagement time analysis, in-program click interactions, cross program (repeat) viewership, and multiple data distribution features.

Key enhancements in AccelaWorks v4.0 include:

  • Aggregate Form Reporting – Reports may be run across hundreds of forms to aggregate data for higher level trend analysis, such as average view time, clicks, promotional source, and conversion yield. Results are generated and displayed in milliseconds. “Shortcuts” make it easy to report on activity by project, client, or other ad hoc grouping of programs.
  • Customized Report Formatting – Detail reports can now be customized by changing the order of columns, changing header names and expanding response data from check boxes, radio buttons and multiple response options, to simplify advanced demographic analysis in Excel and to prepare data for import into CRM systems.
  • SSL Form Support - Forms may be protected with 128-bit encryption to further enhance the security of data being passed through web-based forms, for use by clients collecting more sensitive data such as financial and/or medical information.
  • Repeat Activity Reporting - The system includes an option to include repeat records in reports for one user run at the program or folder level to providing enhanced intelligence about user behavior. This feature shows how many times a person has registered for one or mulitple programs to illuminate their level of interest in a particular topic and value as a prospect or customer.
  • Point-in-Time Reporting - All reports use “point in time” technology to report the version of a field as it was at time of registration, even if it was later updated in other programs. This allows for easier re-use of questions to support standardization of data across programs, as well as historical chain-of-event analysis for a particular user.
  • Protected Content Storage – Users may now upload content such as a white paper for hosting within the system, eliminating the need to find other hosting for registered content. If an unregistered user attempts to download the content, they are automatically redirected to the registration page, to support pass along customer data acquisition.

Bill Reinstein, President/CEO of Accela Communications said, “We are constantly looking for new ways to help our customers get more ROI out of their web initiatives by maximizing the quality, speed and type of data they gather from their AccelaCast on-demand rich media and other interactive programs. The new features in AccelaWorks v4.0 were developed based on real-world use and our customers direct feedback so they could make increasingly timely business and sales decisions to improve their impact moving forward.”
