About Dale Vecchio

Dale Vecchio is a research vice president in Gartner Research, where he works in the application development area of the Research Advisory Service. He specializes in tools, processes and methodologies for development of composite applications reusing legacy systems. Composite applications represent a blend of legacy applications and new distributed technologies to enable e-business capabilities. He also helps organizations implement application modernization decisions, including platform migrations (particularly mainframes), application re-implementation and transition to packaged solutions. Tools and processes to improve maintenance and support of legacy systems are also part of his coverage area.

About David Leichner
David is an industry veteran with significant experience in systems development and enterprise software both as a customer as well as from the vendor side. Over the last fifteen years, he has lectured at conferences and professional meetings on the subject of enterprise application development, integration and modernization. David is currently CMO at BluePhoenix (NASDAQ: BPHX), the leading vendor of legacy modernization solutions.
