Senior Flash ActionScript Developer
 
We are seeking a Senior Flash ActionScript Developer to join the development team. Candidate must have experience developing applications with ActionScript 3 and 2 and have strong user interface and software development experience. You must be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non technical team members as well as learn new technologies. Experience with Java, databases and other programming languages a plus. Good problem solving abilities are essential. 4 year college degree in relevant field required.
 
 
Senior Database Developer
 
Interact with business and technical teams as well as customers to solve custom database integration and reporting problems. Candidates must be knowledgeable in SQL, be energetic, articulate and able to work in a mission critical environment. You must be able to learn new technologies and be able to communicate effectively with non technical team members and customers. Job responsibilities will include list management, ad hoc reports, problem research and resolution as well as have a hand in building and maintaining the technology infrastructure of a high technology company. 4 year college degree in relevant field required.
 
 
Project Manager / Producer
 

Accela Communications is seeking a highly motivated, professional Producer to join the team responsible for creating and publishing streaming audio and video content over the web in our market leading AccelaCast player for clients in the Technology, Health Care, Financial Services and other industries.  This person will manage client productions and work with the sales team and internal technical staff to showcase client vision and content to best advantage in the multimedia environment.  Candidates must be highly motivated, extremely organized, detail oriented, and possess outstanding communication and project management skills. This person reports to the Director of Streaming Media Production.

 

Accountabilities and Duties

  • Work closely with the external clients to determine program goals and contribute ideas for program format to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Conduct project kickoff calls, bringing the client and their marketing team and potentially speakers and audience development partners all together to establish program plan, establish rough timeline, discuss additional speakers/analysts, and the best way to discuss/present the topic.
  • Project manage all aspects of pre-production, facilitating speaker calls, deliverables, and rehearsals.
  • Manage the production of the video or audio.  If the program tapes at the Accela Communications studio, potentially serve as director, host and coordinator for all guests.  If the program tapes remotely, potentially travel to be on site.
  • Manage post-production including all client edits, changes, and deliverables.  Work closely with the Creative Services and Electronic Publishing (ePub) teams to integrate all deliverables into a complete AccelaCast program.  
  • Develop and manage project flow and timelines – internally and externally
  • This person also keeps a close eye on time and dollar expenditures to make sure the production stays on time and within budget
  • Serve as a resource for the Accela Communications sales force to assist in sales of custom programs.
 

Requirements

This position requires a BS or BA degree and two to four years of video production experience.  This person must have experience in successfully managing deadline-driven audio and video projects and be able to work as part of a team, yet in a self-directed, detail-oriented manner.  Organization, initiative, flexibility, and excellent oral and written communication skills round out the requirements. Flash and  Avid experience a plus.  

 
 
Web Producer
 

Accela Communications is seeking a highly motivated, professional web producer to join the team responsible for creating and publishing streaming audio and video content over the web in our market leading AccelaCast on-demand rich media player.  This person will integrate client content, Accela-produced media, and custom-built data capture forms to create custom Flash programs for high-profile clients.  Candidates must know HTML, Flash, and XML. This person reports to the Vice President of Production.

 

Accountabilities and Duties

  • Create Flash on-demand rich media audio and video programs using in-house publishing technologies and a combination of supplied and original content.
  • Work closely with the Accela Communications program Producers on a project-by-project basis to understand the client deliverables, requirements, and vision for each custom program.
  • Create custom-built data capture forms and integrate these into the Flash programs.
  • Design and create Flash elements as needed for each program using Flash tools. 
  • Design and create HTML container pages for on-demand rich media programs, HTML newsletters, and miscellaneous site pages.
  • Create images/banners as required for various projects.
  • Serve as a resource for the Accela Communications sales force to assist in sales of custom programs by creating mockups.
  • Serve as a resource to the Accela Communications marketing team to assist in marketing materials creation and maintenance.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
 

Requirements

This position requires a BS or BA degree and two to four years of web production experience.  This person must have experience in successfully designing and implementing Flash elements using Adobe Flash CS3 Professional (formerly Macromedia Flash 8), have a comprehensive set of HTML and complementary web production skills, understand XML, image design/creation using Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, and be able to work as part of a team, yet in a self-directed, detail-oriented manner.  Organization, initiative, flexibility, and excellent oral and written communication skills round out the requirements.  Video/audio editing and client/project management experience a plus.

 
 

District Sales Manager

 

Accela Communications is in need of exceptionally talented District Sales Managers. In this role, you will report to the Vice President of Sales, and will be responsible for managing and growing client and agency accounts in your assigned geographical region. You will be selling custom web-based marketing and educational solutions based on our AccelaCast platform and related services to help companies create, deploy and distribute compelling video and on-demand rich media programs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Prospecting
  • Pursuing and securing and high-level appointments
  • Listening to customer needs and selling appropriate solutions
  • Preparing and present expert proposals
  • Working closely with a variety of channel partners
  • Closing business to achieve territory revenue goals
As a District Sales Manager, you will be responsible for providing regular status reports and call reports.Candidates should possess:
  • 3-5 years of progressive outside advertising sales experience
  • Multimedia/Interactive sales, Internet advertising and/or web product sales experience
  • Proven territory management skills
  • Knowledge of the information technology and/or pharmaceutical industry is a plus
  • Experience with the current account base/accounts in the region a plus.

Candidates must also possess excellent communication and presentation skills as well as have a confident and high-energy personality.
